We are a counselling and psychotherapy service for ALL victims of trauma. Including Domestic Abuse, Sexual Violence and Child Sexual Abuse, Violence and accidents both recent and historic.

Survivors are encouraged to develop insight into issues that have arisen from trauma experienced in childhood or adulthood.

Our service is committed to working safely with our clients and follows strict ethical guidelines.

We provide time to build trust and ensure survivors are supported in a way that does not judge, blame or tell them what to do.

We offer our clients a safe and tranquil environment for therapy.

Our service at the Trauma Centre is run entirely by dedicated, professionally qualified therapists who are experienced in working with trauma and complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Our therapists are fully insured and members of respected professional therapy organisations.

Making a referral

We welcome professional referrals from organisations such as Victim Support, Preston Road Women’s Centre, The Blue Door, the NHS and others. These organisations are familiar with our online referral system and can submit a referral on your behalf if they believe our support would be appropriate.

If you are a professional wishing to make a referral, please complete our referral form.

All referrals are processed in the order in which they are received. We will provide regular updates on the client’s position on the waiting list.

We are not an emergency service.

❗️Take care of yourself as the heatwave approaches❗️
Some antidepressants, antipsychotics and ADHD medication can cause the body to struggle to regulate heat as effectively which can lead to dehydration and heat stroke. Make sure to:
1. Drink plenty of water and cool drinks
2. Avoid extreme exercise
3. Stick to cool shaded areas
4. Try to avoid being outside during the hottest hours
5. Apply cool wet cloths to your neck, face and wrists
